As we all continue to seek means of collective healing and radical love during this time of unrest, we ask for your support as we raise COVID-19 relief funds for the Navajo Nation.
From LaKota Scott, Diné (Navajo):“The Navajo Nation has more COVID-19 cases per capita than any state in the US. As of 5/12/20, there are 3,204 positive COVID-19 cases and 102 deaths. On average the number of new cases is between 90-140 per day with widespread testing. Currently COVID-19 has disproportionately affected the community which is compounded by the lack of running water or electricity in many households, food deserts, and lack of access to healthcare.”
UxI Dream Team member @misterbenua met Uncle Patrick Scott of the Navajo Nation years ago, sharing great meals, stories, and ceremonies at events hosted by Earth People's United over the years. We are in deep gratitude to the Scott family for their efforts to support the community during this much needed time. They have been able to transfer funds to nearly 30 families so far and, with your help, we will be able to support their efforts even further. If you have the means, please send your donations to our Paypal/Venmo. All funds will be sent to the Scott family for direct dissemination to families in need.
Thank you for standing with us at this time!
