Our ancestors knew and our elders know that Life is not a human-only affair, but encompasses all our plant, animal and mineral kin- from the tiniest, single-celled organisms to the largest creatures in Nature. They also knew that we need not look further than our own bodies to find Nature- each of the elements reflected in us, as us. Touch the Earth will unfold as an embodied process of enlivening both the elements and the ancestral wisdom in our cells, dancing them to the surface, and sharing them in our virtual circle and beyond to remember our connection and responsibility to one another. It means balance and harmony in all aspects of life. The class will be centered around finding hozho in our bodies, our minds, our hearts and our spirits. For those of us who work with and for communities, taking time to release stress, rebuild our energy and rejuvenate our minds and bodies is essential. Some of us give a lot of ourselves to our work and the time and space to be home can be used to give ourselves a bit of love and attention. We will work with movement to undo and release any stress in the body and utilize breath and sound to give intention and healing to our whole selves and to each other.
